Revision of Method under ISO

 Revision started mainly due to complaints about MKTTn  Difficulties in media prep  Concluded MKTTn as most effective, if correctly prepared in parallel to RVS  Modified semi-solid Rappaport-Vassiliadis (MSRV) has also been included in the revised standard as an alternative to RVS

 Revision nearing conclusion  Outstanding  Comments from draft version 5  Validation data from primary production study  Amended draft EN ISO 6579 Part 1 will need an ISO-DIS/CEN enquiry voting  Technical comments can still be given  Because of ISO timeline, ISPAM sub-group will likely not have impact on current revision of ISO 6579  BUT, time to look at future revisions, so…
