Extensive working experience in review of USP monograph submission and proposing botanical monographs  In-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese herbal medicine  Extensive hands on experience in HPLC method development and validation under GMP/GLP environment; In-depth knowledge of HPLC, GC, TLC, CE, and LC-MS in method development and validation for supporting drug development  In-depth knowledge of unknown organic compound isolation and structure identification; Extensive working experience in structure elucidation of unknown compounds by spectrum interpretation of 1 H-NMR and 13 C-NMR (including COSY, ROESY, HMBC, HMQC, DIFNOE, NOESY, DEPT, and APT), MS, UV/VIZ, and FT-IR  Conducted bioassay-guided fractionation, isolation of plant extracts and pure compounds  Hands on bioassays of in vitro anti-cancer and anti-malarial, growing and maintaining cancer cell lines and malarial parasites Education 02/97-09/00 Ph.D. Natural Product Chemistry Department of Chemistry Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong 09/86-07/89 M.S.
