Official Methods Board Nomination

Dear Members of the Official Methods Board,

As our organization continues its growth, it is essential to welcome new, qualified volunteers with pertinent scientific and leadership expertise. Dr. Erin Dreyling, with ThermoFisher Scientific, is such a candidate to fulfill a role within the Official Methods Board. As such, this letter of support is for the nomination of Dr. Dreyling to the OMB. Dr. Dreyling has a proven track record of leadership in food safety, rapid methods development, regulatory affairs and scientific leadership within our industry. She has served both within the USDA as well as in senior leadership roles of diagnostic test kit manufacturers, the latter wherein she has overseen R&D assay development and application groups. Her experience has afforded an understanding of methods development, validation and harmonization. Dr. Dreyling, having been a participating member of the AOAC for a number of years, is well qualified to serve on the OMB. Dr. Dreyling is well respected within the industry we serve and will be a fruitful addition to the OMB.
