AOAC CASP Meeting

Guidelines  IFT strives to provide high quality, relevant research and educational programming on key focus areas that impact professionals, the industry, and consumers. For proposals that address issues related to cannabis and its application in the food and beverage industry, IFT’s review panel will evaluate the proposal based upon scientific merit, adherence to IFT’s Code of Professional Conduct, and the degree to which the program will advance the application of sound science without advocating or supporting the violation of any local, national, or international laws.

Potential Activities

 Reporting - Bringing general awareness to a topic − Examples: Food Technology articles, Journal of Food Science articles, social media posts, infographics

 Convening - Making space for a discussion. Refers to activities related to the annual event, member-generated content, hosting an industry roundtable or networking event, etc. − Examples: Annual Event exhibitors, scientific sessions, networking breakfast  Engaging - Participating in or leading a discussion, collaborating with partner organizations − Examples: Developing educational programs, products, whitepapers, reports, webcasts; participating in industry roundtables; providing commentary on government regulatory developments
