AOAC Official Method 920.116 Moisture in Butter First Action 1920 Final Action IDF–ISO–AOAC Method

Weigh 1.5–2.5 g prepared test portion of salted or unsalted butter, 938.05 ( see 33.6.02), into weighed flat-bottom dish ³ 5 cm diameter and dry to constant weight in oven kept at temperature of boiling water. Clean, dry sand may be used if fat is not to be determined in residue by 938.06 ( see 33.6.04).
