LOD Estimation Approaches

• Assume variance is changing • Somehow model this “Precision Profile” • Use validation data to model the change o What models to use? Linear? Polynomial? Power? o Some groups have developed simpler estimation techniques • Our concept is to take all the data from the SLV experiment, and estimate precision plus LOD and LOQ from the data set.
