New Idea for LOQ Parameter • Define the LOQ parameter as the lowest level of analyte where the precision criterion is satisfied. • E.g., for gluten and allergens, all SMPRs say the acceptable maximum RSD is 20%. • Put the LOQ at the concentration where the RSD crosses the RSD = 20% level • LOQ is tied to performance criteria • LOQ is unconnected to LOD
