ELISA analysis

Commercial ELISA test kits are used.

Requires concurrence between 2 ELISAs to minimize problems due to cross‐reactivity.

Prefer ELISA kits with different extraction protocols due to the diverse complexity of foods.

ELISA kits that have undergone validation (preferred a multi-lab) are used.

If validated ELISA kits are not available, then an in-house validation study is performed to select ELISA kits.
