Sesame xMAP FADA-conclusion Sesame was successfully added to the existing xMAP FADA assay

The addition of sesame into the calibration standards mixture showed the greatest impact on the cashew and coconut bead sets, which were observed to have the strongest cross reactivity. Change in Cashew-19 and Coconut-21 signal in presence of sesame. Change to cashew ratios in presence of sesame.

All other non-sesame bead sets were not affected by the addition of sesame.

The detection of sesame in food samples displayed LoQ values of 1.3 ppm of sesame.

The newly incorporated sesame bead sets were able to detect both raw and toasted sesame.
