Summary and Conclusions

% recovery ELISA kit A- Within the acceptance criteria for majority of samples, a slightly low recovery with spice mix. ELISA kit B-Higher than the acceptance criteria for many samples, but recovery limited to 256%, better recovery for spice mix compared to ELISA kit A. ELISA kit C-Very high recovery up to 465% for muffin and 398% for spice mix, Very low recovery (<10% for some) for hummus samples.

Based on these results, ELISA kit A and B were chosen to be used for analyzing sesame in foods.
