3.2. MLT Participants Formal invitation was sent to more than 40 laboratories around the world by the study director. Initially 18 laboratories indicated their interest to participate in the study. One of the lab could not continue because some of the necessary reagents could not reach to them because of the custom issues. Five laboratories could not continue because of lack of time to continue participation. Remaining 12 laboratories participated in the study. The details of these laboratories from 6 different countries is provided in Table 2. One of listed lab could not qualify for analysis of the MLT samples because their results of the evaluation of the Practice samples were far from the expected. It was noticed that their results of the folic acid method blank were unusually very high.
