subjected to single laboratory validation in 2015 (data not published) to demonstrate applicability to the SPIFAN kit samples (5). This paper details the collaborative study of this method, undertaken to establish the reproducibility of the method for the SPIFAN kit samples as well as 6 International Dairy Federation (IDF) dairy samples. IDF contributes to standards development through collaboration with Codex Alimentarius, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and AOAC. Thus, OMA 2011.14 with its modified applicability is equivalent to ISO DIS 15151:2017 / IDF 229:2017. Collaborative Study Collaborators.- Initially 17 collaborators had expressed interest in participating, but 3 dropped out of the study due to either scheduling issues or difficulty in obtaining the samples. The remaining 14 collaborating laboratories are located in 11 countries including the Netherlands, China, New Zealand, Uruguay, Japan, Germany, Italy, Brazil, United States, Malaysia, and Ireland.

Equipment.- The 14 collaborators used a variety of digestion and ICP equipment in the axial or radial grating configuration as shown in Table 2.

Collaborator Qualification.- Before initiation of the study, the 14 collaborators were qualified by analyzing standards and a practice sample. The practice sample was the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standard reference material (SRM) 1849a (6). Each laboratory created a calibration curve and analyzed 4 standards of
