Considerations: 1. Nearly half of OMB is changing with four (4) members eligible for a second term. 2. Nearly half of OMB represents the industry perspective. 3. Nearly one-fourth of the OMB represents government perspective. 4. Nearly one-third of the OMB represents international (outside of US) regions.

5. Need to consider chair for Committee on Safety. 6. Need to consider representation from Academia.

7. Need to consider representation from Microbiology/Molecular Biology. 8. Need to confirm 2019-2020 joint OMB - Editorial Board membership. 9. Vice Chair position will need to be filled, but only by a member with at least one year of service on OMB. 10. Announce the process has begun. 11. Remember when considering candidates that being an OMB member is not an entry level AOAC volunteer position. 12. Are there any other OMB members affiliated with an academic/research institution that should be considered?
