Dear Official Methods Board members: I am writing in support of the nomination of Holly E. Johnson to the AOAC Official Methods Board (OMB). Dr. Johnson has over 20 years of experience working with botanicals and analytical methods for phytochemicals, foods, and supplenments; I know her contributions would benefit the OMB as well as the greater AOAC community. As you may know Dr. Johnson has been an active participant in the AOAC standards setting process, serving as a member and chair of working groups and expert review panels for both the Stakeholder Panel for Dietary Supplements and the Stakeholder Panel for Strategic Food Analytical Methods. AHPA sees these initiatives as important to our membership and the natural products industry, and will continue to support Holly’s service to AOAC as an OMB member. I give Dr. Johnson my highest recommendation and would be happy to speak with you further about her specific qualifications and overall dedication.
