10. ADDITIONAL REAGENTS

Lysis reagent – Using test kit reagents, pipette 150 µ L of protease into one 12-mL bottle of lysis

buffer. Label bottle with the date prepared. Reagent will remain stable for up to two weeks if

stored at 2-8ºC.

11. APPARATUS

Incubators – For maintaining media at 35 ± 1ºC and 39-42ºC.

Stomacher – Seward model 400 or equivalent for mixing the sponge sample with enrichment

media.
