METHOD TITLE: EVALUATION OF THE BAX® SYSTEM REAL TIME ASSAY FOR THE DETECTION OF SALMONELLA IN SELECTED FOODS

A. The method contains appropriate precautions and potential hazards have been identified corresponding to the approved study protocol and safety guidance

B. The additional risks identified require clarification(s) so as to ensure that the manuscript corresponds to the approved study protocol and safety guidance: Most users of the kit are likely to use some reference salmonella cultures. A caution in the safety instructions concerning the use of appropriate biosafety containment would be advisable.
