SUMMARY OF METHOD

GC/MS, UPLC-PDA and LC-MS/MS methods were developed for qualitative and quantitative analysis of mitragynine in Mitragyna speciosa (Kratom) and realted products. UPLC-PDA and LC-MS/MS methods were validated by characterizing a dry leaf Kratom product. The developed methods were applied for the analysis of small packets of drinks, capsules, tea leaves, powdered leaves and spent leaves from a manufacturing processing facility.
