AOAC SPIFAN Nutrients ERP (December 7, 2022)

Amino-06 (SLV) 10-2022 FOR ERP USE ONLY DO NOT DISTRIBUTE

H. Conclusion

The obtained SLV results indicate that the proposed analytical method is suitable for the determination of total taurine in infant formula and adult/pediatric nutritionals. The determined method performance characteristics described in this SLV report meet the AOAC SMPR 2014.013 requirements. The linearity of the calibration line meets the requirements of the SLV guidelines. The determined LOQ is 0,29 mg/100 g and meets the requirement of ≤ 0,5 mg/100 g. The RSD of the repeatability of the method was 0,7-4,6% and within the set requirements. The RSD of the intermediate precision was determined over two different laboratories and was between 1,3-6,7% and in good agreement. The robustness was tested against three different MS systems, two different LC columns, two different laboratories and three different analysts. The accuracy of the method was between 92-105% and found to be in good agreement with the set requirements. 1.
