CALL FOR METHODS

Eligibility Criteria All methods must be able to meet the criteria and requirements of the specific SMPR. Please refer to the SMPR for details. Any analytical technique(s) that measures the analytes of interest and meets the method performance requirements in the SMPR will be considered. Method Submission Process AOAC invites method authors to submit their methods with no fee required. Interested method authors or developers should provide a copy of their proposed method, as well as any available data characterizing the analytical performance and scientific validity of the method in AOAC format as per the submission form. Ideal method submissions should include a well written method procedure and be accompanied by data or information supporting the method’s applicability and demonstrating the method’s ability to meet the criteria of the AOAC standard method performance requirements. AOAC INTERNATIONAL invites method authors and developers to submit relevant methods that may meet specific AOAC Standard Method Performance Requirements® (SMPR®) . Submitted methods will be reviewed by an AOAC Expert Review Panel for consideration of AOAC First Action Official Methods of Analysis SM status. Methods adopted as AOAC First Action Official Methods by the Expert Review Panel will be published by AOAC INTERNATIONAL. The objective of this call for methods is to collect relevant methods that may meet AOAC’s SMPR. All submitted methods will be subjected to evaluation by an AOAC Expert Review Panel, who will review them for potential AOAC First Official Methods of Analysis SM . Acceptable methods must demonstrate that they meet the appropriate SMPR, therefore, being reliable and reproducible when used by trained analysts in accredited laboratories. CALL FOR METHODS Currently seeking methods in the following areas to be evaluated through the AOAC Official Methods of Analysis SM (OMA) Program: • Various Methods for Infant Formula (Nutrients) - SPIFAN for Carotenoids, Fluoride, and GOS • Quantitation of Furan and Alkyl Furans • Detection of Pesticides in Cannabis Materials

• Screening and Identification of Drug Residues in Foods • Determination of Cannabinoids in Edible Chocolate • Measuring Lactose in Low-Lactose / Lactose Free Products • Various Food Allergen Assays in Egg, Milk, and Peanut • Gluten in Oats Assays

SOLICITATION OF METHOD PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK ON AOAC OFFICIAL METHODS SM AOAC is soliciting method user feedback on the performance of AOAC First Action methods in the Official Methods of Analysis of AOAC INTERNATIONAL adopted in 2017 that have already or are approaching the completion of the two (2) year period following their adoption. Therefore, they are eligible to be considered for AOAC Final Action status in the Official Methods of AOAC INTERNATIONAL . These recommendations will go to the AOAC Official Methods Board (OMB) for consideration. The AOAC OMB will then review the recommendation and render a decision on the method status for a recommendation for Final Action status, Continuance, or Repeal.
