Recommendations

It is recommended that the GENE-UP ® Listeria spp. 2 (LIS 2) method be adopted as Official First Action status for the detection of Listeria species in a variety of foods and environmental surfaces: 25 g test portions of deli ham, deli turkey, beef hot dogs, breaded chicken nuggets, fresh bagged spinach, fresh bagged lettuce, cooked shrimp, smoked salmon, vanilla ice cream, Mexican soft cheese, pork rillettes, raw milk, salmon offcuts, mixed precooked vegetables, mixed salad and process water; 100 g test portions of whole liquid egg; 125 g test portions of deli ham & smoked salmon; 375 g test portions of whey powder; stainless steel surface sponges.
