LIMITATIONS OF THE METHOD The GENE ‑ UP ® L. monocytogenes 2 kit has been evaluated on a large number of matrices. However, given the wide variety of products and manufacturing procedures, it is recommended to check that the composition of the matrices tested does not affect the reliability of GENE ‑ UP ® results. WASTE DISPOSAL Dispose of used or unused reagents as well as any other contaminated disposable materials following procedures for infectious or potentially infectious products. It is the responsibility of each laboratory to handle waste and effluents produced, according to their nature and degree of hazardousness, and to treat and dispose of them (or have them treated and disposed of) in accordance with any applicable regulations. PERFORMANCE The performance data obtained in the context of NF VALIDATION certification are available in the synthesis report on the AFNOR certification website: http://nf-validation.afnor.org/en.

The performance data were obtained using bioMérieux culture media. The GENE ‑ UP ® L. monocytogenes 2 (LMO 2) method, has been certified NF VALIDATION as an alternative analysis method for the detection of L. monocytogenes in food and environmental samples. This validation has been obtained by comparison with the reference method described in the international standard EN ISO 11290 ‑ 1 according to the standard EN ISO 16140 ‑ 2. 12,13 The BIO-12/40 ‑ 11/16 certificate can be obtained from our Technical Assistance Dept. or from AFNOR Certification. The date of end of validity for the NF VALIDATION certification is indicated on the certificate.
