The quality controls using MSP generated during the AOAC validation study have shown that there is no possible mismatch, and therefore misidentification.

• MBT smart There are more than 3600 MALDI Biotyper running worldwide. 10% of them are configured with the microflex LT/SH smart instrument, and again 10% of these MBT-smart are installed in laboratories involved in surveillance in primary production and food testing.
