V. Review of Modifications to AOAC First Action Official Methods ERP discussed and review the proposed method modification, after which the ERP rendered a decision on the subject matter. Modification of AOAC Official Method 2017.09: Confirmation and Identification of Salmonella species, Cronobacter species, and Other Gram-Negative Organisms Bruker MALDI Biotyper Method First Action 2017 (Daniele Sohier and Markus Kostrzewa, Bruker Daltonics, Fahrenheitstraße 4, Bremen, 28359 GERMANY). This modification was a matrix extension to include the c onfirmation of Campylobacter spp. (in addition to Confirmation and Identification of Salmonella spp., Cronobacter spp., Campylobacter spp. And Other Gram-Negative Organisms by the Bruker MALDI Biotyper Method). The method author was present and able to address the concerns of the ERP members. 3 A summary of comments was provided to the ERP members and the method author. 4 By consensus, the ERP presented the following motions for the proposed modification of AOAC OMA 2017.09. MOTION: • Motion by Hitchins, second by Fernandez, to accept the method extension for AOAC OMA 2017.09 to include campylobacter. Consensus demonstrated by: (Unanimous)8 in favor, 0 opposed, and 0 abstentions. Motion Passed. MOTION: Motion by Chen, second by Achen, to recommend the following items for AOAC OMA 2017.09 for AOAC Final Action Official Methods status:  User Feedback on Smart Consensus demonstrated by: (Unanimous) 8 in favor, 0 opposed, and 0 abstentions. Motion Passed.
