INTERNATIONAL STAKEHOLDER PANEL ON ALTERNATIVE METHODS (ISPAM)

Maria Cristina Fernandez , Ph.D. University of Buenos Aires

Maria Cristina is a Biochemist and Pharmacist from the Buenos Aires University, Argentina. She has worked in Microbiology for more than 30 years. She is a Researcher at Maimonides University, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a Professor of Microbiology at Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires.

She is auditor in microbiology for the Argentinean Accreditation Organism and is Coordinator of the Good Laboratory Practices group on Microbiology of the Argentine Society for Microbiology. She is member of the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Expert Review Committee for Microbiology, and a reviewer in Microbiology for the AOAC INTERNATIONAL OMA and the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Research Institute. She is member of the Executive Committee of the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Latin American and Caribbean Section. She has participated in the redaction and edition of standards, books and manuals in the field of microbiology. She is an author of 30 publications and poster presentations and she also participated in several scientific presentations.

She has been a short term expert for the Pan American Health Organization and for UE. She is the Past President of the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Latin American and Caribbean Section.
