AOAC INTERNATIONAL Board of Directors Purpose: To establish policies and manage the affairs of the Association between meetings of the Membership Liaison: David Schmidt, dschmidt@aoac.org Official Methods Board Purpose: To serve the Association in a scientific and advisory capacity on methods and the process of their adoption and to implement procedures adopted by the Board of Directors. Liaison: Lauren Chelf, lchelf@aoac.org Committee on Sections Purpose: To foster communication between AOAC Sections and to provide and make recommendations to the Association on policies and procedures pertaining to AOAC Sections. Liaisons: Dawn Frazier, dfrazier@aoac.org May Rose Jones, mjones@aoac.org Cannabis Analytical Science Program (CASP) Purpose: To provide a forum where the science of hemp and cannabis analysis and quality measurements can be discussed for the development and maintenance of cannabis standards and fit for purpose methods. Program Lead: Scott Coates, scoates@aoac.org CASP Manager: Christopher Dent, cdent@aoac.org Food Authenticity and Fraud Program (FAFP) Purpose: To provide a forum in which standards and methods are developed for analyzing and characterizing foods for authenticity and/or identifying adulteration and fraudulent addition of substances to foods. Program Lead: Palmer Orlandi, porlandi@aoac.org FAFP Manager: Delia Boyd, dboyd@aoac.org Agent Detection Assays Program (SPADA) Purpose: To provide a forum for the threat detection community to develop voluntary consensus standards and fit for purpose methods, building a framework for quality measurements. Wiley Award Committee Purpose: To select the recipient of the annual AOAC INTERNATIONAL Harvey W. Wiley Award. Liaison: May R. Jones, mjones@aoac.org

Tellers Committee Purpose: To audit and certify the results of the AOAC INTERNATIONAL mail ballots. Liaison: Alicia Meiklejohn, ameiklejohn@aoac.org Editorial Board Purpose: To oversee the development, editing, and publishing of all Association publications, to provide for long and short range publication planning. Liaisons: Dawn Frazier, dfrazier@aoac.org Jennifer Diatz, jdiatz@aoac.org Committee on Fellows Purpose: To select and recommend to the AOAC Board of Directors candidates for the Fellow of AOAC INTERNATIONAL award. Liaisons: Dawn Frazier, dfrazier@aoac.org May Rose Jones, mjones@aoac.org Laboratory Proficiency Testing Program Advisory Committee Purpose: To serve the Association in a scientific and advisory capacity in the operation of the AOAC Laboratory Proficiency Analytical Solutions Forum (ASF) Purpose: To provide a science-based forum where global stakeholders convene to identify emerging topics and articulate needs for standards, methods, and/or quality measures used to reduce trade barriers, substantiate health claims, or meet regulatory requirements. ASF Lead: Palmer Orlandi, porlandi@aoac.org Food Allergens – ASF Working Group (Alternative Methods) Purpose: To develop standard method performance requirements for quantitative analysis of commodities for food allergens using ligand binding assays. Allergens of interest are: egg, milk, peanut, and tree nuts (almond & hazelnut) ASF Lead: Palmer Orlandi, porlandi@aoac.org Working Group Manager: Delia Boyd, dboyd@aoac.org Furan – ASF Working Group (Food & Beverage) Purpose: To develop standard method performance requirements for quantitative methods analyzing for furan and alkyl furans in specific food commodities: coffee, baby food, fruit juices.
