( a ) Target organisms. — Escherichia coli and coliforms.

( b ) Matrices. —Evaluated with Butterfield’s phosphate-buffered dilution water (BPBD):

Pasteurized whole milk, butter, non-fat dry milk powder, fresh raw ground pork (90% lean), 12

lamb chop, fresh raw ground chicken (92% lean), chicken carcass rinsate, shell eggs, liquid egg 13

whites, powdered egg whites, sprouts, cranberries, powdered infant formula with probiotics, 14

powdered infant formula without probiotics, dry dog kibble, flour (all-purpose), chocolate chip 15

cookie dough. Evaluated with BPBD and peptone salt solution (PSS): fresh raw ground beef 16

(73% lean), raw frozen chicken wings (bone in, skin on), raw milk, whole liquid egg, tuna sushi 17

(tuna fillet, no rice), smoked salmon, bunched spinach, pasteurized carrot juice, ready-made 18

sandwiches (turkey breast, provolone cheese, lettuce, red onion and multi-grain bread), raw 19

vegetable with salad dressing (coleslaw), chicken feed, soybean meal, stainless steel 20
