PERFORMANCE The GENE ‑ UP ® Salmonella 2 (SLM 2) method with an enrichment step at +41.5°C, has been certified NF VALIDATION as an alternative analysis method for the detection of Salmonella in all human food products, except raw milk products, by conducting validation assays on a broad range of food and environmental samples excluding environment of primary production stage. The GENE ‑ UP ® Salmonella 2 (SLM 2) method with an enrichment step at +37°C, has been certified NF VALIDATION as an alternative analysis method for the detection of Salmonella in all human food products, by conducting validation assays on a broad range of food, pet food, and environmental samples excluding environment of primary production stage. This validation has been obtained by comparison with the reference method described in the international standard EN ISO 6579 according to the standard EN ISO 16140 ‑ 2. 10,11,12 The BIO-XX/XX- XX/XX certificate can be obtained from our Technical Assistance Dept. or from AFNOR Certification. The date of end of validity for the NF VALIDATION certification is indicated on the certificate.

The following matrices were included in the AOAC validation: fresh raw ground beef (25 g, 375 g), beef trim (375 g), raw ground bison (375 g), raw ground pork (375 g), fresh raw ground chicken (25 g), fresh raw chicken breast (25 g), chicken carcass rinse (30 mL), vanilla ice cream (25 g), whey protein powder (375 g), instant nonfat dried milk (375 g), liquid and powder eggs (100 g), fresh raw fish (25 g), creamy peanut butter (25 g, 375 g), dark chocolate (375 g), garlic powder (375 g), dry pet food (25 g, 375 g), stainless steel (sponge), romaine lettuce (375 g, including sample wet ‑ pooling).
