Streamlining Access to the Official Methods SM  Program

Subject: 

For the past seven years, AOAC has provided two ways to access the Official Methods SM (OMA) program: methods submitted in response to call for methods through the Standards  department, and all other individual/ sole source methods (including proprietary methods)  were submitted to the AOAC Research Institute.  One consequence of staff reorganization  and the initial streamlining of core programs and processes, is that all of the OMA program  and processes will be administered through Standards.  The AOAC Research Institute will  continue to administer the Performance Tested Methods SM  (PTM) program.  Deborah and  Scott are working closely together to ensure a smooth transition for those organizations  who accessed the OMA program through the AOAC Research Institute, including  harmonized PTM to OMA.  As a result, Delia Boyd, Chris Dent, and La’Kia Phillips support  Standards (and OMA) with Deborah, and Nora Marshall supports the Research Institute with  Scott.
