Statement of Expertise  I was trained as a natural product chemist and have been in the field of botanical analysis for over  30 years. Many methods have been developed for analysis of botanicals including the analytical  method for ginger, aloin and lutein analysis. I can contribute my expertise in reviewing the test  method on botanicals.  Sr. Staff Review  Dr. Zhang has been an active member of SPDS working groups and has expertise in method and  product development and analysis.  This candidate has applied for the SPDS Ginseng and Skullcap  ERPs.  Staff  Recommendation  Recommend for the SPDS Ginseng ERP  Recommend for the SPDS Skullcap ERP  Statement of Expertise  Skullcap is a common herb in China and I am familiar with its function as a traditional Chinese  Medicine. The analysis of active compounds of Skullcap is on the offer list when I was the scientific  leader in Covance ‐Brea lab.
