Research and identify applicable analytical methods from literature, official compendia, government publications, or private company sources, for the purpose of introduction into the laboratory as a candidate standard operating procedure. Design and perform analytical development studies to determine feasibility of methods identified above. Design and perform analytical validation studies to provide data in support of proposed analytical method Provide training and technical support to Department Managers to implement newly validated methods. Participate in Scientific Communities, attend instrumentation vendor trade shows, and network with other professionals in the analytical industry to stay abreast of developing analytical technology. Performing internal audits of analytical methods, procedures and practices. Training lab technicians in sample preparation. Maintaining and troubleshooting GC instrumentation. Performs data reduction and full reporting for pesticides residues by GC-MS/MS for samples that are prepared by Quechers Low Moisture (AOAC 2007.01), and FDA LIB 4521 (modified). Pesticides residues (organonitrogen, organochlorine, organophosphorus) that are analyzed include but not limited to: triazophos, boscalid, chlorpyrifos, ethion, procymidone, permethrin, pirimiphos-methyl, profenofos, orthophenyl-phenol, fenvalerate, pyrimethanil, DDT, DDD, and DDE chemical residues. Performs Quechers Low Moisture sample preparation. Analysis of Organic volatile impurities by headspace GC-MS and submitting reports to various clients. Analysis of Melamine and Cyanuric acid, BPA, and Acrylamide by LC-MS/MS. Anlayis of PAH’s and MCPD’s by GC-MS/MS. Analytical chemist July 2009 – March 2016
