Simultaneous Determination of 13‐cis and all‐trans Vitamin A  Palmitate (Retinyl Palmitate), Vitamin A Acetate (Retinyl Acetate),  and Total Vitamin E (DL‐α‐Tocopherol and DL‐α‐Tocopherol Acetate)  in Infant Formula and Adult Nutritionals by liquid chromatography  Extraction Method appears to be simple for the prescribed matrices  of Milk, Soyabased infant formula and the hydrolyzed protein adult  forumalas.

Though peaks are sharp,   Baseline drift is found to be more in   Vitamin E chromatograms.  Optimization is required for LC conditions  ‐ could be change of column, mobile phases, pH, mobile phase  composition ‐  to avoid the quantification at low concentrations.   Also, the pH of the sample extract at the time of addition of acidified  methanol can be specified. 

Chromatographic conditions need improvement (as stated above).
