The results of these experiments are given in table 16. This is the only “matrix” were a higher degree of variation occurs. Besides no false-positives, the concentration range with negative and positive results was between 0.25 µg and 1.0 µg gliadin per 100 cm 2 surface. Starting with 2 µg gliadin/100 cm 2 , all results were positive. The testing of surfaces was the only case where two invalid results occurred (one at 0.5 µg/100 cm 2 ; one at 1 µg/100 cm 2 ). These two were tested again in a blind-coded manner.
