A. Summary of the Method

Method detects the 6 major kavalactones and flavokavains A, B, and C in roots, stumps, basal stems, and extracts. Solid matrices are processed into 0.5mm screen powders, all samples dried and extracted overnight in acetone. After centrifugation the supernatants are analyzed using HP-TLC with hexane:dioxane as mobile phase.. Standards containing 6 major kavalactones and flavokavains A, B, and C at six concentrations are analyzed alongside samples.
