7 . Any general comments about  the method? V.  Recommendation for the Method Do you recommend this method be  adopted as a First Action and  published in the Official Methods  of Analysis of AOAC  INTERNATIONAL?  Please specify  rationale.  

Based on the above comments, I do not recommend this method to be considered  for further steps. The method cannot distinguish the esterified and nonesterified forms of  xanthophylls. In addition, this method did not document any information about beta‐ cryptoxanthin.  Therefore, I do not recommend this method to be considered for a  First Action.
