This is bioluminescent assay method to screen for presence of PDE5 inhibition in a test sample based on a commercially available assay kit which is sensitive and reliable. Scope of method is to screen for PDE5 inhibiting compounds as adulterants in dietary supplements. This method shows value in being a quick and easy screening method to detect the presence of drug adulterants in dietary supplements. Method uses a commercially available Assay Kit with clear instructions. *Method is simple and easily applied as a rapid screening method for the presence of compounds with PDE5 inhibition. *Sensitivity of the method allows dilution of possible interfering matrix components. *False positives are extremely unlikely due to dilution of the sample matrix. *Method states that assay may be adaptable to a hand- held device. Non-specific method without capability of identifying analyte present Supporting Data
