• Maintain procedures, systems and processes necessary to comply with Good Laboratory Practices. • Responsible to work with other Department leaders to set and accomplish overall company goals and objectives ASSOCIATE LAB DIRECTOR, August 2007 to January 2013 Tandem Labs, Salt Lake City, Utah • Responsible for laboratory operations and technical conduct of bioanalytical method development, validation and sample analysis projects, including the interpretation, analyses, documentation, and reporting of the results • Fulfill requirements of Laboratory Director specified in applicable SOPs • Ensure that adequate personnel with appropriate training and experience are available to supervise and conduct bioanalytical division work • Stay abreast of industry technology and requirements. Promote innovation, operational improvements, and evaluation of new analytical technology • Write, review and approve laboratory SOPs • Approve release of all validation final reports • Approve release of all sample analysis or discovery final reports or assigning designee for report approval • Ensure laboratory operations meet regulatory requirements and client needs • Participate in division strategic planning and setting divisional goals and philosophies • Set operation budget including capital equipment forecast • Display leadership, act as a mentor GROUP LEADER, May 2005 to August 2007 Tandem Labs, Salt Lake City, Utah • Lead a group of laboratory personnel, including Project Managers and scientists to achieve client commitments and maintain quality requirements • Function as Project Manager, as required, in their absence. • Initiate hiring requests, conduct interviews and make recommendations for hiring • Establish and monitor performance criteria. Provide routine feedback to team members on performance.
