State of Maryland, Department of Agriculture, Annapolis, MD State Chemist, State Chemist Section 2016 - Present Administrative Responsibilites: Directs, coordinates, and administers Section activities, which include, but are not limited to, purchasing of equipment and supplies; development of program standards and goals; evaluation of program standards and goals; develop and implement proposed legislation and regulations for further governance of the Section’s regulated commodities; provides technical and scientific guidance to chemists, technicians, inspectors, administrative, and clerical staff; and prepares reports and documents concerning Section activities.
