Technology Aspects • GB focuses on confirmatory methods (LC-MS/MS) in short term due to cost, universality and skill level • HRMS has potential to develop quickly in China: • Most CIQ and CDC laboratories are equipped with HRMS • There is GB draft method submitted using HRMS • HRMS represents the trend of technology development • LC-MS/MS is necessary for compliance purpose; HRMS is more efficient for risk assessment and manufacture use • LC-MS/MS and HRMS could share the same pretreatment procedure

Method Performance Requirements of GB and SN • There are different requirements for GB, SN or FDA standards in China • GB requirement is relatively rough; Many SN requirements are adopted from AOAC SMPRs • The revision and consolidation of these requirements are being planned
