B 1 Forms and Chemistry Thiamine hydrochloride is the form used for fortification in foods requiring water solubility. Thiamine exists naturally as free thiamine and phosphorylated as thiamin monophosphate (TMP), thiamine diphosphate (aka thiamin pyrophosphate, TPP), and thiamine triphosphate (TTP).
