4. Current Method Conformity Projects - Statistics for microbiology. a. Paul reported they have had no activity since the last call. b. The guideline had been distributed at the Dallas meeting. c. There have been no comments. d. People had volunteered at the last call. i. Sidney, Qian, Caryn, Paul and Robert had volunteered e. Need to i. validate the software ii. Make corrections. iii. Some known corrections are: 1. E.g. change WelchSaitherwaite estimate of degrees of freedom 2. Need to delete a paragraph that is not needed f. Appendix J modification can be done at same time as software validation. g. The validation is a large job because data sets must be presented to the software and compared to another calculation technique. h. Then both appendix and validation can be presented to the OMB for approval. i. Action: AOAC staff to set up a call with the Current Method Conformity Projects - Statistics for microbiology sub- committee. j. Action: Paul to send dates and times he is available.

5. Chi Squared test calculator

a. This will be handled with appendix J changes (see above)

6. Revising statistics committee terms of reference.

a. There are a few versions of the terms of reference. b. The first paragraph needs revision c. The quorum as described is not workable. d. Qian Paul Caryn Sidney are committee e. Action Item: Qian will revise present draft with Sidney’s assistance i. Have draft ready for next meeting.
