ABSTRACT: In TR342, the recommended confidence interval for the difference in proportion detected between two methods (‘dPOD’) was modified to include a continuity correction to deal with degeneracy when exact agreement between methods occurs. Such a correction is also required for the confidence interval for dLPOD when all individual collaborator dPOD values exactly agree. The recommended confidence interval for dLPOD as given in TR296 is updated here to include a correction for degeneracy.
