Total Collaborative Study Protocol_Solus One Salmonella v1 1

For the exclusivity portion of the evaluation, 35 species including Gram negative bacterial species 

closely related to  Salmonella  species and Gram positive bacterial species, were cultured in 9 mL of Brain 

Heart Infusion (BHI) broth for 22 ± 2 h at 35 ± 1°C. Exclusivity cultures were used without dilution. 

Inclusivity and exclusivity cultures were randomized, blind coded and then analyzed by the Solus One 

Salmonella automated sample preparation method. 

Of the 108 inclusivity organisms evaluated using the Solus One  Salmonella method, all 108 

organisms were correctly identified. For the 35 exclusivity organisms evaluated, all 35 organisms were 

correctly excluded. The inclusivity and exclusivity evaluation results are presented in Tables 1 and 2.
