In general public it is widely supposed that the source of mineral oil residues derives mainly from food contact material made from recycled materials, but in fact numerous other contamination routes exists. State of the art is a fully automated combination of online LG-GC with flame ionization detection, which allows automated analysis at high sample through put and additional clean up steps.
