TEQ Analytical Labs 5:30pm – 6:00pm | Governor’s Square 15 Verification of GENE-UP ® Salmonella and STEC Real-Time PCR Methods on Cannabis and Cannabis Infused Products Sharing the verification process in a new emerging cannabis market. Exhibitor/Partner PRESENTATIONS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 Waters Corporation 7:00 am – 7:30 am | Governor’s Square 15 Ambient Mass Spectrometry as a Tool for Evaluating Food Authenticity Jessica Prenni, Colorado State University Ambient mass spectrometry provides an attractive and high-throughput means of generating chemical fingerprints of food products without sample preparation. Even without iden- tification of specific molecular components, these chemical fingerprints can be used to train predictive models by means of various machine learning approaches. Analysis of subsequent samples can then provide “real time” classification of unknowns with a high level of accuracy. Rapid evaporative ionization mass spectrometry (REIMS) and direct analysis in real-time (DART) are examples of two ambient approaches that can be employed for this purpose. Examples using these technologies will be described for applications in food authenticity. FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: Seth Wong, President 720-252-3621, swong@teqanalyticallabs.com
