AOAC Awards Program Policy Documents 4/2020

AOAC INTERNATIONAL Policy on Administration of Harvey W. Wiley Scholarship Program Background AOAC INTERNATIONAL first established an annual Harvey W. Wiley scholarship award in October 1963. Until 1993 the program was administered by AOAC staff who annually solicited and processed applicants. The AOAC Committee on Scholarships selected an awardee from each year's group of applicants. In November of 1993 it was decided to abandon the costly process of soliciting and processing applicants and to award the scholarship directly to the alma mater or other college of choice of the Association's annual Harvey W. Wiley Award recipient; conditioned on the institution awarding the scholarship to a worthy student meeting criteria established by the Association. The amount of the scholarship is US$1,000.
