B. Beginning annually no later than shortly after the Annual Meeting of the Association, the responsible staff person will collaborate with the current Harvey W. Wiley Award recipient to identify the institution (and, if possible, the department within) to which the Scholarship should be awarded. C. The responsible staff person, with whatever assistance the Wiley Award recipient can provide, will then make contact with the appropriate official(s) within the institution and negotiate the awarding of the scholarship, by the institution, in the name of AOAC INTERNATIONAL and the Wiley Award recipient, to a worthy student meeting the AOAC INTERNATIONAL criteria. D. In the event the institution of first choice is unable to accept or award the scholarship under conditions acceptable to AOAC, the Wiley Award recipient will be asked to nominate a second
