TERMS OF REFERENCE

NAME: COMMITTEE ON FELLOWS

II. MISSION: To select members to be recognized for meritorious service to AOAC INTERNATIONAL. III. RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) To determine the criteria for meritorious service as specified in the AOAC INTERNATIONAL Bylaws; (2) To review potential candidates in terms of these criteria and vote according to procedures as instructed by the Chair; (3) To assist in publicizing the award and encouraging nominations; and (4) All Committee members, other than those holding ex officio appointments, serve at the pleasure of the President. All Committee members are expected to actively participate in the work of the Committee; including, but not limited to, promptly responding to communications, attending and actively participating in meetings, reviewing meeting background materials and agendas prior to meetings, and accepting and following through on assignments. Persons who do not actively participate will be removed from the committee by the President at the request of the Chair. COMPOSITION AND ORGANIZATION: There shall be up to seven (7) members and a Chair. The AOAC INTERNATIONAL past President will serve as the Chair. The members will serve staggered three-year terms. Reappointment, at the discretion of the President on the advice of the Chair, should be limited to six years of total unbroken service on the Committee. V. STAFF LIAISON: The Executive Director shall assign a member of the staff to serve as staff liaison. VI. REVIEW SCHEDULE: Every three years. VII. DATE ESTABLISHED: 1962 VIII.
