I. WELCOME & INTRODUCTION (11:00am – 11:10am) (Palmer Orlandi, AOAC INTERNATIONAL) Orlandi (AOAC) will open the meeting, welcome attendees and lead introductions of the attendees. Orlandi will outline the purpose of the meeting. II. FOOD AUTHENTICITY INTRODUCTORY DISCUSSION (11:10am – 11:40am) (Bert Pöpping, FOCOS – Food Consulting Strategically) Pöpping will discuss stakeholder interactions and transparency of the process along with how the current processes are being utilized to address the needs for botanicals & spices. III. PRIORITIZATION OF BOTANICALS & SPICES (11:40am – 11:50am) Stakeholders will be requested to prioritize and vote for their top three (3) botanicals & spices (or groups) for discussion.

IV. GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE ON BOTANICALS & SPICES (11:50pm – 12:40pm) a. Spices (11:50am - 12:20pm)

Jean-Louis LaFeuille (McCormick) and Greg Corbishley (Bart-Ingredients) will provide information on spices including those currently high risk for adulteration. b. Botanicals (12:20pm - 12:40pm) Sibyl Swift (Natural Products Association) will provide information on botanicals including those currently high risk for adulteration.

VI. BOTANICALS & SPICES WORKING GROUP DISCUSSIONS (1:00pm – 2:10pm) a. Non-Targeted Testing (NTT) Analysis (John Szpylka, FSNS – (1:00pm – 1:20pm)

Szpylka will present background information including technologies for the Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPR®) development of botanicals & spices.
