Expert Review Panel Meeting Quorum The meeting of the Expert Review Panel was held in person. A quorum is the presence of seven (7) members or 2/3 of the total vetted ERP, whichever is greater. Nine (9) members, out of the ten (10) voting members and one (1) alternate, were all present (in person and/or web conference) and therefore met a quorum to conduct the meeting. Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs): N/A Conclusion: The Expert Review Panel reviewed OMAMAN-44: Enumeration of Enterobacteriaceae In Select Foods And Environmental Surfaces, Peel Plate EB and have adopted this method for AOAC First Action Official Method status by a unanimous decision. The ERP recommended an AOAC First Action Official Methods status continuance for AOAC Official Methods 2016.01, 2016.07, and 2016.08 that was submitted and reviewed for AOAC Final Action Official Method status consideration. The ERP recommended AOAC Official Methods 995.22, 2002.09, 989.14, 998.09 and 993.06 for repeal of AOAC First and Final Action Official Methods status unanimously. Subsequent ERP Activities: ERP members are required to track the performance of the recently approved First Action method for a two (2) year period effective as of August 27, 2018. AOAC staff will prepare documentation to be submitted to the AOAC Official Methods Board for the methods recommended for continuance and repeal status. In addition, the ERP will hold a subsequent teleconference to discuss AOAC Official Methods 2016.01, 2016.07, and 2016.08 upon submission of additional feedback and the technical recommendations for the use of sanitizers for surface testing.
