Discussion

The aim of the present work was to receive PTM certification for the Biofish-300 SUL method for the detection and quantification of sulfites in shrimp. This technology is highly specific and selective and allows quantification of sulfites in raw shrimp head on, raw shrimp head off, and boiled shrimp. Sulfite in all the studied matrixes was extracted in an extraction solution in a short time (15-20 seconds).
